Sonic the Hedgehog pasta was a promotion set to appeal to kids playing the constant parade of Sonic games released from the ’90s onward—and those watching Sonic’s TV shows, from the first silly Saturday morning cartoon full of physical comedy and Aesoppy taglines to those that would follow.
It wasn’t the only food-based Sonic tie-in, but it was certainly one of the longest-running! It sat on grocery store shelves long enough to undergo three redesigns.
Sadly, the pasta was not chili dog-flavored, a taste that would have harkened back Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog-era Sonic. He and Tails always craved chili dogs!
